A Boat beneath a Sunny Sky
A BOAT beneath a sunny sky,
Lingering onward dreamily
In an evening of July --
Children three thatnestle near,
Eager eye and willing ear,
Pleased a simple tale to hear --
Long has paled that sunny sky:
Echoes fade and memories die:
Autumn frosts have slain July.
Still she haunts me, phantomwise,
Alice moving under skies
Never seen by waking eyes.
Children yet, the tale to hear,
Eager eye and willing ear,
Lovingly shall nestle near.
In a Wonderland they lie,
Dreaming as the days go by,
Dreaming as the summers die:
Ever drifting down thestream --
Lingering in the golden dream --
Life, what is it but a dream?
-Lewis Carroll

Cool air twirls and winds around my legs.
Autumn is here.
The smell of apples and of wood smoke
permeates the air.
.
Warm blankets, cups of tea and hot cocoa.
The many soups of fall and winter:
pumpkin, tomato, carrot, chili, and many more.
The air is brisk, and the sky is bright blue.

All in the golden afternoon
Full leisurely we glide;
For both our oars, with little skill,
By little arms are plied,
While little hands make vain pretence
Our wanderings to guide.

When the Snow Is Falling Down and The Christmas Light Are Up
When the Snow Is Falling Down and The Christmas Light Are Up
As we come around the corner we catch sight of the house
We can just see the candles in the windows
They look like little fairy lights
But as we draw closer we see that, no, they are but ordinary candle flames
We can just see the candles in the windows
They look like little fairy lights
But as we draw closer we see that, no, they are but ordinary candle flames
We walk up the path to the front door.
We hear the joyful shouts of the children saying, "Grandma and Grandpa are here!!"
We can smell the fragrant steam drifting up from the fresh cooked food.
Hugs and kisses are exchanged.
Tugged and pulled to the table, we sit down to enjoy the delicious meal.

After dinner we sit around the tree with cups of cocoa.
The kids are singing “We get to stay up late!”
At ten their tired eyes are drooping
Lulled by the sound of their parent’s voices
One by one we carry there little bodies up the stairs and
tuck them in their beds
What wonderful dreams the must have
When the snow is falling down and the Christmas light are up.
